Make concrete stepping stones with your kids this summer. Messy materials that are not normally used in a typical art class are instantly exciting with most kids.
Concrete stepping stones are also a great project that can be done outside during Vacation Bible School with a group of children, granted you have helpers. You will need concrete, heavy black garbage bags or mixing buckets, garden trowels, plastic gloves, water, molds and decorative items. Since the concrete needs time to dry thoroughly it should be done toward the beginning of a one-week VBS.
